These productions provide excellent performance opportunities for the students as well as free, wholesome entertainment for families and the community.
C.A.S.T. integrates art and faith by presenting theater that reflects the experiences and value important to members of the Christian faith. C.A.S.T. is committed to providing a safe, Christian environment for creative arts education for the home school community.
HISTORY of CAST
Our mission is to empower, educate and enrich the lives of students through creative arts training and performance opportunities.Sharon DeArmon's service to Tampa children's drama began nearly 15 years ago at Temple Heights Christian, a private school in Temple Terrace, where she taught drama and hosted a summer acting camp for two years. In 1997 Mrs. DeArmon realized she was being called to serve the home school community.
For the next decade her popular drama program, Acting Up For Him, increased in size so rapidly that the productions annually outgrew venues. The Vineyard, Narrated Park District, Carrollwood Players Theatre, Northside Assembly of God, Grace Family Church, and Van Dyke United Methodist Church have all contributed to the development of C.A.S.T.
Mrs. DeArmon has built her program by challenging students, parents, and herself to reach a little higher each year. She has introduced new elements to her productions as she and her students were ready. Through C.A.S.T., Mrs. DeArmon continues to offer excellent creative arts instruction to students and alumni, as well as quality dramatic productions to the community.
