CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Musical Theater Classes

ELEMENTARY Creative arts CAMP I - ages 5-8 $115

Elementary Camp is June 18th-22nd.  As we celebrate “A Decade of CASTing A Dream” this summer the elementary will be bringing back some old favorites.  Elementary I, ages 5-8,  will be doing Hard Knock Life from Annie as well as learning the nights' finale song Anything Can Happen. During the week of camp, they will be learning acting techniques as we do scenes from Annie, Mary Poppins, and  Willy Wonka. The students will be performing at our Reveal Night  their two numbers that they learn in camp.  Register now to be a part of this historic night and have a fantastic camp experience. 

Elementary creative arts CAMP II - ages 9-12 $180

Elementary Camp is June 18th-22nd.  As we celebrate “A Decade of CASTing A Dream” this summer the elementary will be bringing back some old favorites.  Elementary II will be doing a Mashup of Think Positive from Williy Wonka and Positoovity from Little Mermaid. This age group will also be learning the evening's finale song Anything Can Happen. During the week of camp, they will be learning acting techniques as we do scenes from Annie, Mary Poppins, Willy Wonka and Little Mermaid. The students will be performing at our Annual Coffee House their two number that they learn in camp.  Register now to be a part of this historic night and have a fantastic camp experience. 

Intermediate MUSICAL THEATER CAMP - ages 13-15 $180

Intermediate Camp is July 9-13th. As we celebrate “A Decade of CASTing A Dream” this summer we will be going back in the vault of past shows and pulling out some very interesting “evil” characters. The intermediate camp will be having lots of fun focusing on the Past stage Villains of CAST.  It is so much fun to play the “evil” villains like Ursula from Little Mermaid, Captain Hook from Peter Pan, the Wolf from Into the Woods, the Witch from Wizard of Oz, Jaffar from Aladdin and the list goes on.  We will be doing a medley of many of their songs as well as acting out many scenes from lots of these shows.  Don’t miss the “evil” fun!  The students will be performing at our annual coffee house their Villains Medley as well as the Finale song Anything Can Happen.  Register now to be a part of this historic night and have a fantastic camp experience! 

High School Musical Theater Camp - AGES 16-18 $20/song

High School come help us celebrate “A Decade of CASTing A Dream”.  We have restructured our summer program with a High Schoolers’ schedule in mind.  Perform at Coffee House by only practicing for two weeks before. You can now choose which songs you would like to perform in- choose one or all 6.  We are putting a Medley of songs together- sung exclusively by the High School that will focus on the “Dreams” of Musical Theater.  Some of the songs in this medley will be: This is How a Dream Comes True- Shrek, I Dreamed a Dream- Les Miserables, Beyond my Wildest Dreams- Little Mermaid, Out of My Dreams- Oklahoma, Behold the Magic in Your Heart- A Little Princess, and When You Wish Upon a Star- Pinocchio

Other songs options are: Anything Can Happen- Mary Poppins, Step in Time- Mary Poppins, Never Finale- Never the Musical,  and One Day More- Les Miserables.

ACROBATICS - $13.50/class

Acrobatic training teaches flexibility, balance, agility, strength, muscle control, plus discipline and concentration. The discipline and concentration required for acrobatics carries over to many aspects of a student’s life, including academics and other athletic performance. We offer a multi-level class, where students will be instructed appropriate to their skill level, ranging from the very beginner (handstands, rolls, cartwheels etc.) to the more advanced level (handsprings, flips, twists, etc.) Basic tumbling skills offer an added bonus for any dancer or athlete. Ages 6+ 

INTERMEDIATE BALLET - $13.50/class

Attendance twice a week is required, as well as a complete understanding of the basic elements of ballet. This fast-paced class will incorporate skills already acquired and will reinforce technique and form. A willingness to work and to achieve personal goals is a must.  

JAZZ I/II - $12.75/class

In this class we will cover a variety of techniques that allow a student to be a well-rounded dancer, ready to perform any style of jazz, including popular fad dances. A great class for musical theater students! Ages 6+ 

JAZZ III - $12.75/class

An intermediate knowledge of ballet is required for this class in order to keep pace and fulfill technical requirements. This artistically expressive and fun jazz class covers a variety of techniques that allow a student to be a well-rounded dancer ready to perform any style of jazz. A great class for musical theater students!  Must have completed Jazz I/II or teacher placement only.

INTERMEDIATE JAZZ - $12.75/class

An intermediate knowledge of ballet is required for this class in order to keep pace and fulfill technical requirements. This artistically expressive and fun jazz class covers a variety of techniques that allow a student to be a well-rounded dancer ready to perform any style of jazz. BALLET III - $13.50/class

Designed for those students who desire more instruction in the discipline of ballet.  This class increases your understanding of the basic elements of ballet and prepares the student for Point Preparation Class. This class will incorporate skills already acquired and will reinforce technique and form. A willingness to work and to achieve personal goals is a must. 

PRE-DANCE - $12.75/class

This class is specially designed to introduce basic ballet, tap and acrobatics to children in a fun learning environment. Ages: 3-5. (Must be 3 yrs. old by January 1st, 2018.)  

BALLET - Intensive - $27/class 

To be eligible to attend this class students must be on an Intermediate or Advanced Ballet level and currently enrolled in a minimum of two ballet classes a week. Focus is on mastering and expressing Intermediate steps. 

Beginning Teen Jazz - $12.75/class

An beginning jazz class designed for teens. We will cover the fundamental and some advanced concepts of the jazz genre. Great for musical theater students who want to hone their skills.

Beginning Teen Ballet - $13.50/class

An beginning ballet class designed for teens. We will cover the fundamental and some advanced concepts of ballet. Great for musical theater students who want to hone their skills.

COMBO I/II - $12.75/class

An introductory Combo I/II class is designed for children ages 6-12 who have no previous dance training or one year of previous dance training. We will cover the fundamental and some advanced concepts of ballet and tap to prepare the student for more serious study in a preferred form. 

POINTE PREP - $13.50/class

Attendance twice a week is required for this class, as well as a complete understanding of the basic elements of ballet. This fast-paced class will incorporate skills already acquired and will reinforce technique and form. A willingness to work and to achieve personal goals is a must. 

TAP I/II & III - $12.75/class

Designed to introduce or continue learning the fundamentals of tap and increasing the difficulty of basic skills in this genre. No uniform requirement.
