CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Art Classes

ART IN HISTORY CLASSES

There are three separate “Art in History” art classes, for Elementary, Intermediate, and High School ages. In the semester-long class, students will have the opportunity to experiment with and develop their skills in a variety of media, including: drawing, painting, ceramics, mixed media, and much more. We will be working on various projects looking through the lens of particular artists’ works and lives throughout history. This class will be continued into the Spring Semester, so by the end of the school year, students will have the opportunity to study many artists’ lives, their impacts on art history, and to create some unique works of art along the way.

THEATER FOCUS CLASSES

These three arts and crafts classes, for Early Elementary, Elementary, and Intermediate/High School age will be shorter class sessions, broken up into two sessions per semester. These art classes will be focused on creating works of art around the themes of the plays put on by DeArmon C.A.S.T. this year. We will work on projects to be displayed at the shows, and will be looking to these particular plays for inspiration.
